Easter Kitchen Arrangement

This year, I am really digging into my creative side and how I can create beautiful things with less expensive supplies. I’ve been checking out the isles at my local Dollarama dollar store to get inspired with what I can use to create something that looks like 1 million bucks for just a few bucks!

I began with this four dollar hanging basket, which was so pretty and made a perfect base for a kitchen arrangement. I simply removed the chain intended for hanging and was left with just the basket base.

For some extra weight and stability, I added this low dish inside the bottom of the basket. The basket is lined with plastic, and the bowl could be filled with water beneath the floral foam, which would allow me to use fresh flowers, if I wished. For this arrangement, I am using dried florals and a few accents.

Once the foam was placed on top of the dish, I completely concealed everything beneath Sam craft moss, which I also got from the dollar store.

I was happy to find some floral sprigs from the dollar store that I felt passed as ‘higher end’. I kept my eye out for the most natural blooms with the least plastic sheen. I also removed any leaves that appeared overly artificial to me.

The pussy willow stems were a great find! I’ve always been mesmerized by how nature creates these super soft, furry lil buds! The twigs formed a burst of height at the centre of the arrangement, encircled by a few statement blooms… and of course, these fabulous carrots which were from HOMESENSE!
