GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK
March – the month commonly associated with Spring Break! Now that I have kids I find it to be quite a stressful month with lots to consider. They are off school and I need to keep them busy. There are all of the places to go… there’s time I need to take off. There’s budget crunching and trying to meet up with family and friends. It’s so tiring isn’t it?
March should also be a month month to give yourself a break! Take time to relax, be present, give back, do a staycation–keep it chill! Here are a few of my faves to help me get through my goal this month.

The Hockey Jersey
It’s aways great to go on an adventure in some new books with your kids. It’s beautiful to see how much literacy has changed since I was a kid and how inclusivity is becoming a priority. Many Canadian kids may grow up reading books about hockey, but most of them don’t feature diverse characters. So, Scotiabank created a more inclusive hockey book to inspire the next generation.
The Hockey Jersey is a new, inclusive children’s picture book to inspire the next generation of young athletes. Written by bestselling author Jael Richardson and illustrator Chelsea Charles, the book is part of Scotiabank’s hockey for all initiative to empower aspiring hockey players to lace up their skates, tape up a stick, and feel at home on the ice. It’s such a feel good and an extra feel good because purchasing this book help out a good cause!
Canadians can find the book at Indigo for $21.99 and select independent bookstores, with 100 per cent of net proceeds going to Hockey 4 Youth Foundation.
