What’s your MOOD for June?
June always gets me. It’s not quite Summer, but it kicks off Summer. The weather can be hot or chilly which always throws off both my fashion game and organization game. The days are getting longer – and as a career mom I’m still just as tired. I end up staying up later and then end up exhausted! There are some super bright days, but then also the infamous gloomy days of June. And of course, the school year coming to a close means we are back into the ‘un-routine, routine’ with our children. We need to keep the kids busy and ourselves sane, all at the same time! So yes, June is a fascinating month! Here are a few items to work with your June mood, whatever it may be.

Arcade Party Truck
Are you looking for something fun and easy for an event this Summer to keep the kids busy? Whether it’s a birthday or any other event, check out Arcade Party Truck – a mobile video games and karaoke trailer. They are a small family run business that runs across the lower mainland. They have done it all: Birthday parties, fundraisers, work parties, sports team parties, festivals, carnivals, graduation events, and so much more.
The Arcade Party Truck is equipped with six tv's, three Nintendo Switches, two PlayStation 5's, and one Xbox Series X. They also play music during events and take song requests. (Massive highlight IMO)
Arcade Party Truck comes directly to you! It parks in your driveway (or in front of your house), but they can also park near parks or in restaurant parking lots. Their motto? ‘No stress no mess!’ For 2 hours, you can put up your feet, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the quiet or take a nap. That was my experience! A few parents stuck around for some drinks while the kids kept busy and had an absolute blast!
The price is $459.99 plus GST and they have started doing goodie bags as an add-on if you need.

DRIVE Basketball
As a mom of three, during the summer you need to find creative ways to keep your kids busy, healthy, AND happy. The DRIVE Basketball camps are a no-brainer for me. My kids love the camps. They get their exercise, make new friends, train, and stay off devices all day long. A major major bonus: they come home exhausted… in the best way!
DRIVE has now been established for 18 years with the goal to have a successful basketball academy that provided different platforms for young people to improve. DRIVE helps kids learn the game in a fun and competitive learning environment. The camps are for boys & girls ages 6-16. Players are placed into divisions based on age and skill levels. All Campers receive a free DRIVE T-Shirt for each camp that they attend. Plus, DRIVE is committed to helping the community with their DRIVE Youth Basketball Foundation.
DRIVE Youth Basketball Foundation helps provide opportunities for youth to participate in sport. The Foundation provides scholarships to underprivileged youth as well as high school athletes pursuing post-secondary education. They also sponsor community events and make annual donations to local food banks. Now that definitely gives them extra points!
