I'm so excited to be joining Kyla today and sharing how to style your Spring Kitchen Island 3 Ways. We are all spending A LOT of time in our kitchens these days and it's very easy to get bored of the same view. It can leave us feeling uninspired to even want to be in it at all!  I'll show you three different ways to style your island or counter so that you can easily switch things up and keep your kitchen view looking fresh all season long!

LOOK ONE: COOKBOOKS + FLOWERS + FRUIT

Since we're all doing a lot of baking and cooking at home, keep those pretty cookbooks handy by using them as decor! Top them with some pretty fresh or faux flowers in a mason jar.

Fill a large bowl with lemons, artichokes, oranges or other fruit for a pop of color!

Display a pretty tea towel and baking utensils to tie the food/baking theme all together!

LOOK TWO: BOARD + HERBS + CAKE STAND

Add a table runner to your island for some texture and interest!  If your countertop is neutral, add a fun pattern like stripes or floral. If it's dark, add something light to soften the look for spring. If you have an oversize charcuterie board, they are lovely for using as a base.

A fresh herb planter is perfect for the kitchen! It's not only pretty but practical too. You can often get them pre-planted at the grocery store or garden center or you can easily plant your own. Fresh herbs are so handy for topping meats and vegetables and also during BBQ season. Keep a pair of pretty scissors handy for when you need to snip a few!

Display some yummy treats on a pretty cake stand with cover. You can use cupcakes, cookies, fruit, or any bite-sized treat. You just have to tell your family not to eat the decor lol!

LOOK THREE: TRAY + FLOWERS + CANDLE

An oversize wooden tray like this one adds structure and texture to your kitchen island. It gives you a defined space for display while leaving things free of clutter and clear for prepping food or sitting down for a quick bite. You can also display some dinnerware and cutlery to make mealtimes easier too!

I love having fresh flowers in my kitchen and a big beautiful arrangement like this one makes me so happy! Many local floral shops are offering no contact pick-up right now to make it easier to still enjoy fresh blooms in our homes. You can also pick up a ready-made bouquet from your local supermarket on one of your weekly visits.

A fresh citrus or herbal scented candle is a lovely addition to your island or counter.

I like to have a candle burning in the kitchen, especially with a glass of wine as I'm cooking dinner!
