Charcuterie Cutie Skewers
These three tasty skewers are perfect for my Summer picnic plans, but tasty enough for the foodie in your life to take note! What’s not to love about the convenience of these elevated snack kabobs?
When you’re planning a picnic, it’s smart to think: portable. Finger foods are always a win, which makes these skewers are a delightful way to keep it simple!
With these recipes, you can pack light but not sacrifice variety, quality, or flavour. There’s a little something for everyone... especially good friends who are foodies at heart!

Ciao Bella.
A charcuterie classico! This pairing brings together flavourful bursts inspired by Italian antipasto.
To assemble, I added a 1 inch block of Double Smoked Cheddar, a floret of Genoa Salami, one large Olive, a floret of Coppa Di Parma, a Marinated Artichoke Heart and a Grape Tomato.
Bright Delight.
This is a light and cheery combo of bright flavours.
I added a chunk of Cantaloupe, a Mint Leaf, a segment of Nectarine, a floret of Prosciutto and a cute heart-shaped chunk of Cucumber. Mmm!
Sweet & Salty.
I’m a sucker for flavour contrasts and this one plays them up oh so well – sweetness contrasts with saltiness and creaminess contrasts with crunch.
I added a 1/3 strip Bacon Ribbon, a Slice of Apple, Arugula, Brown Sugar Baked Brie, a Bacon-Wrapped Date and a Red Grape. Did I save my fave for last? You bet I did!
Bacon-Wrapped Date: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with foil, then top with parchment paper. Cut bacon strips in half. Wrap date with a piece of bacon and add to sheet, seem down. Bake along with a half piece of bacon on it’s own for each skewer you plan to make. Bake until bacon is done, but has enough flex to skewer like a ribbon.
Brown Sugar Baked Brie: Cute approx 1.5 inch cubes of brie from a wheel. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake for just a minute or two – enough to melt the cheese, but still hold it’s shape. Allow to cool, then use a knife as needed to re-cut cubes and add to your skewer.
