Hello Summer! Nira's July Hot List
Hello SUMMER! Summer is officially here, even though this year it felt as though it came a month ago! Seriously the heat – I mean what was that?! The restrictions have started to ease off – we are getting closer to this new normal that we have been waiting for. The physical and mental adjustments are in place. With these adjustments and staying safe & smart here are a few suggestions to help ease into this transition of our ‘new norm’ summer. Keep safe and happy, we GOT this!
CORKCICLE
One thing that goes hand in hand with Summer? Children! They are out of school… and they are here, there, and everywhere! We are constantly on the move and doing something or another to keep the children active. Packing up this and that on the daily. One of my new favourites is the CORKCICLE Kids Cup. The stainless steel insulation gives me a major peace of mind and it keep their drinks cold for 18 hours! How perfect is that for milk when travelling??
Some other amazing features include:
Easy sip spout lid with a drink through straw
Convenient carrying handle
Flat sides for small hands
Lots of colour combos
Dishwasher safe
Stay-put silicone bottom

Bombay Beauty Co
One of the trickiest parts of summer is taking care of your skin. We change our patterns quite significantly in the summer and our skin naturally reacts. There are the ‘mores’ and the ‘lesses’. More sun exposure, more dehydration, more sunscreen, more alcohol & more travelling. Less water, less sleep, less exercise, less beauty up-keep appointments & less time for self care in general. I was looking for something easy that can keep me in check and give my skin what it needs, plus something easy for me to pack up and go with AND something healthy and natural! Bombay Beauty Co products are eco-conscious, plant-based, and made from 100% Ayurvedic herbs and botanicals, like rose, aloe vera, and sandalwood. 100% plant-based beauty!
This is my Bombay Beauty Co Skin Essentials Kit. I can pick and choose what my skin is looking for, and to be honest these days it can be something different everyday. You need to check out their website to learn all about their ancient Indian Ayurvedic approach to beauty – I may be slightly biased ;)

Best Buy
Let me introduce you to your Summer best buy at Best Buy! The Sony Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones.
You may need these for MANY reasons. For me the house is always full and sometimes I just need to get some work done and just need to be able to concentrate! Other times I need to get the housework done and want to listen to some music instead of hearing the background noise of whatever my kids are arguing about. And of course when I’m walking/running with the dog- my biggest annoyance is when the ear buds fall out or feel like they’re about to fall out, drives me crazy. Anyone else?? Well these headphones STAY in place!
The Sony WH-1000XM4 over-ear Bluetooth headphones have adaptive noise cancellation with Dual Noise Sensor and you can control your music hands-free with voice controls. The Over-ear design relieves pressure to make them more comfy. The convenient Touch Sensor controls let you pause/play/skip tracks, control the volume, activate your voice assistant, and answer phone calls. You get up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. And the headphones are easy to fold and take with you. I can get an insane amount of stuff checked off on my to do list!

DRIVE
As a mom of three during the summer you need to find creative ways to keep your kids busy and healthy AND happy. The DRIVE Basketball camps are a no brainer for me. My kids love the camps, they get their exercise, they make new friends, they train and it keeps them off devices all day long. A major major bonus- they come home exhausted- in the best way!
DRIVE started in 2004 when Pasha Bains and Chad Clifford brought together their shared dream to teach and help young basketball players achieve their goals. Both are former BC AAA High School MVP’s who went on to play NCAA Division 1 hoops before starting their own small basketball camps.
The goal of DRIVE was to have a successful basketball academy that provided different platforms for young people to improve.
Plus DRIVE is also about helping the community with the
DRIVE Youth Basketball Foundation.
Their non-profit that helps provide opportunities for youth in the communities to participate in sport. The Foundation provides scholarships to underprivileged youth. It also provides scholarships to High school athletes pursuing post-secondary education as well as sponsoring community events and making annual donations to the local food banks.
Now that definitely gives them extra points!
Check them out they have locations all across the lower mainland.
